MY STORY

My recent awards issued by the guild.
During the 2020 Lockdown I made myself a promise to do everything I have always said I will do if I had the time.
This saw the launch of S.A Academy. I did my teaching and had my Photography, Graphics and Drama workshops accredited. Which has allowed me to now teach my passion to other like minded individuals. Children and adult learners.
It also saw me launch Acclaimed Castings with my sister and reality TV Star of 'Below Deck' Brooke Laughton.
It allows artists to upload their headshots, reels, and portfolio to a global platform that reaches casting agents, directors, producers, and employers from a wide swath of entertainment fields.
Essentially, Acclaimed acts as the conduit between talent and jobs. “You are selling yourself,” Casting directors can view it directly. You can apply to jobs and they get notified when you’ve applied. Then they can view the profile directly.
Emerging artists can also glean advice and get assistance on how to maximize their profile. “If someone is underselling themself, we might recommend they add a few more headshots,” she described. “So we’ll always advise individual people on what they should be doing to get noticed and stand out.”
Artists pay a small monthly subscription fee (about £12 per month) for the service and clients are growing throughout the U.K., U.S., and the U.A.E.
How We Started...
At 16 years of age I began my own modelling career.
Iv worked in London with some of the best agencies in the industry.
I soon developed a keen interest in photography. I began a night course in digital photography, and before long was taking pictures of friends children. This vastly spiraled and within 6 months I had my own studio.
I soon decided it was children i wanted to work with.
Being a mum myself to two beautiful little boys, I felt my knowledge and understanding of children made this choice easy. I made some amazing contacts fast. And was seeing children I had photographed and submitted to agencies grace catalogs, TV commercials, feature films and clothing websites.
9 years later, with a huge knowledge of this industry, I launched Strawberry Angels Modelling and Casting. Supplying models across the country for a variety of TV and modelling assignments. We have also featured on ITVBe Real Housewives of Cheshire. Photographing Tanya Bardsley's little boy Ralphie.
I constantly push myself and invest heavily in training with some of the best photographers in the country. Not only has this left me being able to boast I am a multi award winning photographer. But it also means i constantly am able to give my clients the signatory SA 'WOW FACTOR' with all purchases.
